The aquamarine

The center is a 6×8mm pear-cut natural aquamarine — the blue-to-sea-green variety of beryl (the same family as emerald and morganite), in a soft, tranquil sky-to-sea blue. It's mined from natural sources, so each stone varies slightly in color and clarity. At 7.5–8 Mohs it wears well every day.
